Kaleo + Project 27

At least annually, Kaleo hosts a Homeless Outreach event dedicated to providing essential supplies, offering foot washings, playing games, and meals to individuals experiencing homelessness. Volunteers and community partners come together to offer support, compassion, and vital resources. It's a day of full of fun, connection, and reaffirming our commitment to dignity for all.

The Mission of Yahweh is a faith-based shelter that has been empowering, enriching and restoring the lives of homeless women and children and provides outreach services to low-income communities since 1961. The Mission offers shelter and many life-changing programs focused on ending the cycle of homelessness and dependency.  They also have a Resale Shop that accepts donations and provides affordable merchandise to our surrounding low-income community.

In September of 1991, a group of concerned citizens, led by Star of Hope volunteer Wendy Dewlen and staff member Kim Hansen, came together to form Hope for Youth as a way to help these teenagers stay connected and thrive in their difficult surroundings. 

For over 30 years, Hope For Youth has provided programming designed to give Houston’s urban youth a fighting chance for a better future, through healthy relationships with Christian mentors and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
